The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provides investigative, scientific, information services and resources to the criminal justice community and others as authorized by law, for the purpose of maintaining law and order and protecting life and property. The GBI is not a first responder organization and by statute must be requested by a criminal justice agency before it can open a criminal investigation. Please contact your local law enforcement agency to report criminal activity. They will in turn request assistance from the GBI where it is appropriate.
