Sign Questions (Dougherty County)

The City of Albany and Dougherty County each have their own sign ordinances.  The Albany Code Enforcement Department enforces these ordinances.  The Planning and Development Services Department administers the ordinances. 

 

Questions related to sign permits should be directed to the Development Services Division, 438-3903 or 438-3922.

 

Questions related to signs in general should be directed to the code enforcement officer or inspector assigned to sign ordinance enforcement.  The best way to contact this officer or inspector is to submit a service request by calling 311 or by submitting a service request through the City's website by clicking here.  A supervisor will assign the request to the appropriate code enforcement officer or inspector.  An alternative method is to call the Albany Code Enforcement Department's main number, 438-3913.
