Apply for a new Occupational Tax Certificate, (OTC), formerly called a business license, by accessing the forms and instructions on the City of Albany website http://www.albanyga.gov/about-us/city-departments/license-business-support/occupational-tax-certificate or by visiting the City of Albany Treasurer's Division at 240 Pine Ave, Room 150.  The OTC fee is due at the time of application and is calculated by multiplying your annual gross receipts by a tax rate percentage based on your profitability classification.  For more information, call (229)431-2830 or (229)431-2118.
