Special Olympics Bocce

 

Who: Special Olympic Athletes who are 21 or older with an intellectual disability living in Albany-Dougherty County.

 

What: Bocce is a sport which originated in Italy. Players toss balls at a smaller target ball on a grass court. The person closest to the target ball is awarded a point. We will teach you all you need to know to play this exciting and challenging sport.

 

When: Thursdays from 4:30pm-5:00pm (February 3 - March 22, 2011)

 

Where: Ken Gardens - 1511 Ken Gardens Road, Albany, GA 31701

 

Fee: None. Participants must be registered as an ARPD Special Olympic Athlete to participate and compete.

 

Competition: Special Olympics Area 14 Spring Games March 24, 2011 in Thomasville and Colquitt County Spring Games April 1, 2011 in Moultrie
