Please contact the Superior Court for information regarding Legitimization 229-302-3300.  The Clerk of Court office is located at 225 Pine Avenue, Room 126, Albany, GA 31701. The cost to file is $200.00 an additional $50.00 if someone has to be served by the Sheriff's Department. There is an additional fee of $35.00 payable to Vital Records (money order only) required to make any changes to the original birth record. The law Library has forms available on-line.
