Renew Vehicle's License Plate/Tag
Renew your vehicle's Georgia license plate (tag) at the Dougherty Co. Tag Office Suite 100, 240 Pine Avenue, Albany, Ga. 31701. If you currently reside in Dougherty County and are the primary owner during your registration period.
The primary owner is the owner shown first on the vehicle's title or tag registration certificate. For a business owned and/or operated vehicle, renew the license plate (tag) in the county in Georgia where your business is located during the primary owner's registration period.
Dougherty Co. provides year-round registration. If you are an individual and not a business, your registration period would be the thirty-day (30) period of time ending at midnight on the birthday of the owner whose name is shown first on your vehicle's title and/or tag registration certificate (tag receipt).
Business vehicle's are registered differently. Please call the Dougherty Co. Tag Office for information.
Penalties are assessed if you fail to renew your vehicle's license plate during your registration period.
