The City Clerk provides administrative support to the Mayor and Board of City Commissioners.  All city appointed boards and commission member lists are maintained by the City Clerk.

Ordinances and resolutions adopted by the Board of Commissioners including contracts, agreements, deeds, cemetery records, etc. are a function of the Clerk's Office.  The City Clerk is also responsible for processing incoming telephone calls and distributing mail as well as the travel arrangements for the Mayor and Board of City Commissioners.

In 2005, the City Clerk started the process of implementing an electronic agenda for City Commission meetings.  This system will be used to distribute paperless agendas to City Commissioners and administrative support staff.  The agenda is also available to the public via the City's Web Site.

The City Clerk is also responsible for the filing of campaign contribution and financial disclosure forms of the Mayor and Commissioners seeking re-election and/or new elections.
