Welcome to the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners page regarding our storm recovery efforts!

Dougherty County and the City of Albany, Georgia, were devastated by two high wind incidents just three weeks apart in January 2017. These catastrophes caused massive damage to infrastructure, hundreds of residents lost their homes, and five people lost their lives.

Since the storm, our government, citizens, businesses and other community partners have worked to recover, better than ever!  Thank you for your support as we continue our road to sustainability and viability!

Below is the roadmap that was collectively prepared to document our plans for recovery.
