No permit is required to hold a garage sale in the City or County..  There is a limit of (3) in a year in the Unincorporated Area of Dougherty County.  There is no stated limit to the number of garage sales per year in the City limits;  however, regular/recurring garage sales in a year’s time can be construed as operating a business without an Occupation Tax Certificate (formerly called business license) and can be a violation of the zoning ordinance.  For more information contact Code Enforcement 229-438-3913
