A dealer-issue temporary tag is valid for 45 days from the date you purchase the vehicle from the dealership.

You are required to register and obtain a license plate within the 30 days. You may operate the vehicle during the 30-day period. The dealer cannot issue you an extension or another tag.

The vehicle must be covered with the required liability insurance for it to be legally driven and for it to be registered and a license plate issued or transferred to it.
